Hello to All,

It is another spectacular day in Greenacres, Washington! I love this area, especially as each new season unfolds. I usually get up very early, but today I was sleeping in a bit when a neighbor called at 6:30 a.m. to let us know that two of our young horses had broken out and were on the road … AGAIN. This has been the week of horse break-outs, which is unusual for its frequency. We are thankful for our kind neighbors that help us out.

Iris blossoms are exploding in color patches around town. Peonies are getting ready to pop, but not quite yet. We have a batch of hummingbirds fighting every now and then to make sure they have their dominant place at their favorite feeder.

Today is the first day of summer vacation for our kids at home, which is always an exciting time. How I loved those long days of summer when I was a child! Now days seem to fly by filled with business. Calendar pages flip by as if driven by an unseen, hurried wind. It’s time to take a breath and inhale the spring view and exhale the stress. If only I was better at that …

In any event, enjoy your day and give a hug to those around you.

Take care!
