Thousands of parents and foster parents in the United States are concerned about the effects of pesticides being used on their food or where their family lives, works, and plays.  Now there is a free service from the National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC) to answer questions such as:

  • Is this pesticide dangerous for children?  For dogs?  Horses?
  • Where can I learn more about other pest control options?
  • How can I safely store or dispose of my old pesticides and containers?

NPIC keeps knowledgeable people on staff in their call center seven days per week from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM PST.  They can be reached at 1-800-858-PEST or online at www.npic.orst.edu.  They have loads of valuable information and their services are 100% free to the public!
